Charleston, S.C. (May 15, 2020) – Following a recent community neighborhood donation of 21,000 healthcare face masks, Okra Medical reached back out to U.S. Senator Tim Scott’s office to continue helping with outreach in underserved communities.
“We are passionate about serving these communities by donating healthcare masks during this challenging time in our country,” said Marshall Hartmann, CEO of Okra Medical.” No one should have to worry about not having the appropriate protective equipment to keep themselves and their families healthy and safe.”
Through the help of Senator Tim Scott, Okra Medical was able to connect with an underserved support group in North Charleston, South Carolina. Okra Medical immediately sent 3,000 healthcare masks to the support group, Tri-County Ministries.
Tri-county Family Ministries, is a non-profit, ecumenical ministry providing food, clothing, medical care, counseling, job training and placement, shelter, financial assistance and other vital services to the less fortunate in the tri-county area.
